Selling/Sharing Personal Information
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), “sell,” “sale,” “share,” and “sharing” have broad meanings and can include allowing third parties to collect personal information via cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to show you advertisements based on your interests across different websites, applications, or services (“cross‑context behavioral advertising”). We work with analytics and advertising partners (such as online ad networks, social media platforms, and analytics providers) that collect identifiers, device information, internet or other electronic network activity information, and commercial information from our Website and other online services to help us understand how our Website is used and to deliver more relevant ads. These activities may constitute a sale or sharing of your personal information under the CCPA.
We do not sell or share your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. However, to the extent our use of third‑party advertising and analytics cookies and similar technologies for cross‑context behavioral advertising is considered a sale or sharing under California law, California residents have the right to direct us to stop selling or sharing their personal information at any time.
CCPA
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with rights regarding how your data or personal information is treated. Under the legislation, California residents can choose to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information to third parties. Based on the CCPA definition, “sale” refers to data collection for the purpose of creating advertising and other communications. Learn more about CCPA and your privacy rights.
For California residents, our use of certain analytics and advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA. You can opt out of by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link below.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights, subject to certain exceptions under the CCPA:
- The right to know and access: to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, sale, or sharing, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information.
- The right to deletion: to request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, where we must retain information to comply with law or to complete a transaction).
- The right to correction: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information: as described above, you may opt out of our sale or sharing of personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising at any time.
- The right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information: where we collect information that is considered “sensitive personal information” under California law, we use it only for permitted purposes such as processing payments, providing our services, and preventing fraud. If we ever use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond these limited purposes, you will have the right to direct us to limit such use and disclosure.
-
The right to non‑discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
You may exercise your rights by contacting us at the email or mailing address listed in the “Contact” section of this Privacy Policy, or by using any online request form we make available. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to your request, and we will respond within the timeframes required by California law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf, subject to verification of the agent’s authority.
